WHAT'S LOVE GOTTA DO WITH IT?

Today is the most important day of school in this school year. When we are making something, we need to put our secret ingredient in there, LOVE. Don't just give people crap. If you were to open a restaurant, and you ask yourself what to make, then try to think of the most amazing homemade meal you have had. Now, get that homemade meal, and make it in your restaurant. But don't just try to make it so that you have something to serve. No. Make that dish with the same love, pride and energy you had when you made it for yourself.

Wrath

He was never a kid. All throughout his life, work came to him. He seeks vengeance, and that is he will get. His Children are suffering because of his needs.

SUFFER

Not even his Wrath, nor her tears can end the love she has for him

CALLING MY SHOT

In the essay that we are getting prepared for tomorrow, I have a strong feeling that im going to just get a C+. I dont have really high standards for myself, especially with every other freakin' class giving me assignments to do all at the same time. This will be stressful, i havent had much sleep and im having a really hard time paying attention in class now because my lack of sleep. Now the reason im lacking sleep, is yet again, because for some reason, every teacher wants to give their students some assignment right when were about to leave for break. Unless im the only student getting tortured.

IS IT JUST ABOUT THE JOB?

Many people have to do the right thing. Now, that may not always be a positive thing to do, and can result to someone getting hurt, or if you're lucky, both being happy. If i were to have to something that makes people sad, i don't think i would be able to live with  myself, unless it was the only option left, really. A lot of people just think about that money, and would only care about themselves in the end of the day, but that's understandable, mainly because its not their concern. But to think of someone else's feelings, and how they are getting destroyed is upsetting.

MY SEMESTER GOAL

Many goals are what i have, but such little time is what has been given to me with many objectives i have to try and complete. If i were to want to really accomplish something before this semesters end, i would try to just feel like im not just a normal student in this class. I want my classmates to see me, but know at least one thing about me, even if thats just my name so that im not known to as, "that kid whos always quiet" or "the guy who never talks, he sits near the door". But i also want to get a clue of other peoples names, just in case.

BREAKING THE LAW

Breaking the law, should not the be the case, but of course there are those people who do break the law.  If you are under a lot of pressure and the only way out of that is breaking the law, then i guess its okay. Maybe you can break the law because you need to do whatever it takes to not end up behind bars. Now, when it is not okay to break the law is all the time when we are outside. No man should be afraid of someone else taking ones life over anything. Breaking the law should never be the case for anyone, and i dont believe there is a right or wrong time to break the law.

SO THIS GUY GOES FOR A WALK

Ray Bradbury wrote, " The Pedestrian" because a real life event had happened to him and he wanted to let everyone know, but in a not straight forward way. The way he set up this story was just so, different, and that amazed me, it really did. People back then had no clue what the future would have held, things back then were so different. That really amazes me how Ray had predicted cars driving by themselves, and streets being lonely in the night, and how one thing, or person can all of a sudden vanish into the dark and not a single person would know. What also amazes me is the fact that a police had stopped him for no absolute reason. Ray had only been on a walk, and yet the police had thought that was suspicious because of how rare that was. This story was set up so well. The character fit in so well and the author wrote this so well. This guy went for a walk, to enjoy the air and take a look at life, but only to get stopped by a cop because the cop was confused as to why h

MY AUTHOR, MY HERO

Ellen Raskin: This author has a spot in my head, ever since 8th grade. I remember reading a book by this person, 'The Westing Game" and the book has always been stuck in my head since then. I consider this author a hero because her book always had me on edge as a child and made me want to read more, though she isnt that well known, her books and novels caught my attention. This even amazes me, that even though an author isnt well known, they can still have some kick-ass books and amazing thoughts that go into their projects. Just by writing this, its giving me nostalgia of when i was young, and reading her novels. "The Westing Game" will forever have a place in my heart because the book had always kept me on the edge of my seat and made me want to keep reading, and not much books do that.

In Thoreau Words

"The most I can do for my friend is simply be his friend."   This quote signifies that you do not have to go all out of your way in order to impress someone. Maybe that person just loves your presence and appreciates you for just giving them your time. "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see"    I really love this quote because we humans can see many amazing objects but just look at them as if they were not important. But to others, a small object, maybe a piece of grass can amaze someone because of the way they look at it. We should all take what we see and be appreciative of them, nothing lasts forever. "What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us."  I feel like many people are self conscious about what they look like on the outside, but that's not what really goes on. We control ourselves and we are all we have. Only we know the real us. What one person says about

Emerson's Essay

Emerson's essay on Self-Reliance is all about having to be your own self, and not try to be like others. His tone gives us a good strong feeling about what exactly it is he wants to to learn. I will sum all this up and explain to you how Emerson's thoughts and ideas can help me with my own life.       Emerson's main goals in the essay is to persuade us readers to be our own selves, and try not to be another version of someone else. He wants us to have our own voice, to be someone unique, and honest with ourselves, and with others. The way we are able to do all of this is by standing out, standing out as in be someone that people want to be, try to step up as the leader, and make people want you. You make yourself, and you can't be scared about others bringing you down with their hate. Emerson's is all about this, he really tries so hard to make you understand that we are all our own kind of beautiful.       This essay has a really strong tone and gives us

Emerson's Notes

We have been reading and analyzing Emerson's Self- Reliance, and i have to say, this has really been helping me learn more about his writing and his thoughts. These are the notes that i took.        If you are told what to do all day, you will not have to think much. If you are never told on what to do, you will work hard to try and find your source. Learning means changing your mind. You get more info and you think about changing your mind. There will also be those people that call you a fraud, or saying that you are not true to your word, but what those people do not get is that we all learn and change our thinking. Our job is to look for ourselves, not try to look around and find someone you should be. Just because your life is becoming lucky, does not mean it will last forever, we will always have some bad days, but nothing will bring you peace but yourself. We can all go to others for help and ball our eyes over someone, but in the end, we have to come back to ourselves beca

Today's Emerson Reading

-Words I did not understand: Eminent: to be respected, or have respect Admonition: an act of giving warning Sentiment: an emotion or view towards something -Ideas: Emerson wants us the readers to follow our individual self instead of confronting to social expectations Emerson wants us to be our own voice and follow what we say, not what other people want us to believe, such as a church Emerson believes the readers should always be honest in the relationship with whom they are talking to

Young Goodman Brown and A Dream Within a Dream

The story "Young Goodman Brown" and the poem "Dream Within A Dream"  can make us think about how we look at dreaming. The stories have many in common, though they also have other things that are different from each other.       The story " Young Goodman Brown" and the poem "Dream Within A Dream" make us look at the fact how we dream and what is going on. Both of them have a realistic feeling to them as if we were in the setting. They also dont tell us the readers that they both take place in a dream, we had to figure that out for ourselves. This is a nice feature they put in their writings and they keep us the readers really entertained. Also it makes us eager to find out what the concept is. Young Goodman Brown and A Dream Within A Dream are both alike because they have a concept of making the reading a dream but they dont actually tell us.       Young Goodman Brown is different from A Dream Within A Dream because of the setting and the

Young Goodman Brown

These are my answers to the "Young Goodman Brown" questions. 1.  What do you think Hawthorne's purpose was for writing this story?        I think his purpose in writing this story was to explain to us that we all have different mind sets. Many of us have a different way of seeing the world, and also have different ways of expressing ourselves to the world. 2. Hawthorne states that Brown's wife is "aptly named" Faith.  After reading the story, do you agree?  Does Faith's name fit her personality?  Does Brown have true faith in her?    Yes, i agree and feel like Faith's name fits her personality. The writer did a good job in setting this character up with the story in how Brown had to leave his Faith behind. Since his wife's name is Faith, we the readers look at it as if he left his wife, and he lost his faith in himself. 3. What do you think the pink ribbons signify? I think the pink ribbons signify that faith will always be wi

WAS IT ONLY A DREAM?

Young Goodman Brown was not dreaming in the story. This story seemed way to real to even be a dream. When he was on his walk, he felt off about his surroundings and didn't feel comfortable. This meaning he was scared, but he actually felt fear, not like in dreams where you cant feel much. And even the day after this had all happened, Young Goodman Brown was not normal. He had been scared of everyone  and felt as if everyone had a bad side to him. He lived on to always feel this way, to everyone, yes even to his wife Faith. Now this is the reason i believe it was not a dream, because if it were just a dream, he it wouldn't have any impacts on how he looks at other people. But because it was never a dream, and it was reality, his life got changed, all of it is changed.

The Making Of An Essay

When i was writing the essay about 'Conscience of a Hacker" I took a good 2 days to plan my writing. When I got to the writing, i was on a time crunch which didn't let me put much effort into it, but i had to turn it in as it was. Though i did have 3 full day to do it, i'm not always allowed to get all my homework done due to family. There are also times where i want to have time to relax myself, whether that is taking a nap, or hanging out with friend or even having fun on my Xbox. While i was making the essay, i had to try and be flexible with the people in the story and think about how their minds are different. I also had to make connections, relate in how i am like the teachers, or how i am like the hacker. Thinking flexibly was important for me to see both sides of their story and sum it all up in the essay.

Conscience of a Hacker

We recently read "Conscience of a Hacker" and it interest me on how different people think. The author gives us different perspectives from a hacker to a normal human being and gives us different sides to stories to help us get his point. I will be explaining how he does that in a "Conscience of a Hacker".         The author gives a 2 different perspectives, one being from the hackers themselves, and the other being the humans who do not hack or do not know anything about hacking. The author wants us to understand that a human always thinks negative about a hacker, whether its them doing something bad, or saving ones life, they always think negative, especially if its a kid. Then form the hackers perspective, its the opposite. The hacker always is trying to be positive because he feels like he isn't good enough for the real world, as if he gets kicked out of it. Explains why he is hacking in the first place. These points of views vary from how you look at it, b

HOW I LEARN

There are all sorts of different ways people use to keep themselves organized for school and routines to keep them on schedule. For me, I have an agenda that i am able to access when i am assigned something and i have my phone to take pictures or take notes on. The better option is of course the agenda to help me actually remember by me writing in it, but the more faster way is taking a picture of it then boom, i have it set or typing something really fast and again, its done.I always have my routine in which i do my homework when i get home, whether its with my friends or without. We usually always try and get all our homework done before 5:00 PM so it gives us a good hour and a half to get it finished. Now if someone forgets what we have to do, I usually always have something written to remind them and we get to it.

My Response to The Socratic Method

I really like this method, and do agree that it does pursue truth. I feel like this method can easily be used to start up any conversation and help people rally their ideas. Many of their ideas can be their concerns, they can ask questions, give out their idea, express themselves or even agree with one another to make a great conversation.

This is the poem, "Richard Cory"

When I memorized the poem "Richard Cory" I started to think about it differently.  I thought about why he might have killed himself, and I thought about how the poem relates to my life today.  It seems like he was a happy wealthy man and many people wanted to be just like him. Though there were may things people didn't know about him personally, he had a background, just like everyone else. This is a message to those saying that money makes you happy. It's doesn't. This relates to today because there are more and more people out there committing suicide when we the people thought they were one of the most happiest people alive. We never know what someone may be thinking, so we should ask how they are doing when we get the chance to.

Response To "Richard Cory"

This poem  actually hit my feelings a bit. No matter how much money you have, you wont always be happy with a lot. I was surprised when i read that he killed himself, but i understood. The way people looked at him, was like a Leader, he was wealthy, slim, and LOOKED happy, though he might have not been. I feel like we may never know how someone that is sad actually feels on the inside until they either tell someone, or it is too late. But i have a question, why did no one ever ask him how he was feeling?

Response to "The Right To Your Opinion"

I feel like needing to fully know your rights is a good idea, but it may not always work. Those rights can be used against you, and may not even be considered rights at all. It is as if we need to fully think about one thing, then see if we can give our own opinion about it. But what would happen if we dont? Well one thing is, possibly go to jail, but just for having a right to our own opinion? Not Fair.  This is my response to "The Right to Your Own Opinion".
