SO THIS GUY GOES FOR A WALK

Ray Bradbury wrote, " The Pedestrian" because a real life event had happened to him and he wanted to let everyone know, but in a not straight forward way. The way he set up this story was just so, different, and that amazed me, it really did. People back then had no clue what the future would have held, things back then were so different. That really amazes me how Ray had predicted cars driving by themselves, and streets being lonely in the night, and how one thing, or person can all of a sudden vanish into the dark and not a single person would know. What also amazes me is the fact that a police had stopped him for no absolute reason. Ray had only been on a walk, and yet the police had thought that was suspicious because of how rare that was. This story was set up so well. The character fit in so well and the author wrote this so well. This guy went for a walk, to enjoy the air and take a look at life, but only to get stopped by a cop because the cop was confused as to why he was out. I'm genuinely looking forward to reading more of his books.

What i had learned through out my high school years so far is, school is not for everybody. Everybody is interested in something, but not everybody is interested in the same thing. I feel like i know what i personally want, and what i don't want, or at least i think i do. Young Goodman Brown

These are my answers to the "Young Goodman Brown" questions. 1.  What do you think Hawthorne's purpose was for writing this story?        I think his purpose in writing this story was to explain to us that we all have different mind sets. Many of us have a different way of seeing the world, and also have different ways of expressing ourselves to the world. 2. Hawthorne states that Brown's wife is "aptly named" Faith.  After reading the story, do you agree?  Does Faith's name fit her personality?  Does Brown have true faith in her?    Yes, i agree and feel like Faith's name fits her personality. The writer did a good job in setting this character up with the story in how Brown had to leave his Faith behind. Brave New World Essay

     In Brave New World, a character who conforms outwardly but is questioned inwardly would have to be John. John is an alpha who is supposed to be this top dog, in this higher class group, though he was made with a little bit of alcohol in his blood surrogate. Bernard is also different from the alphas because he would rather be alone in nature, and rejects taking soma. In the following passage i will explain how Bernard from Brave New World is closely related to a real human, and how he is different.      Bernard Marx was created an alpha, but had a little alcohol mixed with his blood surrogate.
